Nau mai, haere mai!

Our Iwi has a rich history. Today, Ngāti Pūkenga is an iwi comprising the descendants of Te Tāwera, Ngāti Ha and Ngāti Pūkenga who live around the globe and Aotearoa.

Te Tāwharau o Ngāti Pūkenga was established in 2013 as an Iwi entity to receive and manage assets as a result of the Treaty Settlement.

It is the entity that represents all four kāinga and provides for the management and administration of all the iwi assets.

Ngāti Pūkenga has four main settlements situated at Manaia in the Coromandel, Ngapeke in Tauranga, Pakikaikutu in the Far North and Maketū.

There’s also many other catchments scattered throughout Aotearoa.
